In 1897 Ferdinand Miller created the monument of King Ludwig I in front of the Spa Hall building as a larger-than-life bronze figure of the ruler sitting in coronation robes with the plan of the Spa Hall building in his right hand.

A monument in thankful memory to a king who was the greatest patron of Bad Brueckenau. He helped Bad Brueckenau to attain glory and honour and declared it to be his summer residence 26 times.
