In 1899-1901 a guest house was built opposite the Spa Hall building according to the plans of the Munich architect Max Littmann. The enormous, three-storey structure with a facade length of 19 axes was formed in the tradition of the Art Nouveau.

The facade facing the spa garden is structured by a raised, three-axis, projective corner construction. High mansard hipped roofs, window frames, balconies and other decorative architectural sculptures are based on baroque forms. In 1906-1908 a dining room was attached on the rear, also according to plans by Max Littmann. 1949 Konrad Adenauer came together with the “Ellwanger Kreis” in the Spa Hotel to decide on the designation “Bundesrepublik Deutschland”.
