Romantic politician. Crown Prince Ludwig was born in Strasbourg on August 25th, 1786. His parents are Maximilian I. Joseph King of Bavaria and Auguste Wilhelmine of Hesse, Darmstadt. In 1810 Ludwig married Therese of Saxony, Hildburghausen. Ludwig spent his years as a Crown Prince (1816 -- 1825) in Aschaffenburg and Wuerzburg. In the death month of the father he is appointed King Ludwig I. of 'Baiern'. Already a day after his king oath King Ludwig I. orders that the name Baiern has to be spelled with a "y" in future.

The mistress of King Ludwig I.  Elizabeth Rosanna Gilbert (Lola Montez) was born in the Irish village of Grange at Sligo on February 17th, 1821. Her parents were the English officer Edward Gilbert and Eliza Oliver, who descended from Irish gentry. In 1823 Edward Gilbert was moved to Calcutta in the British colonial empire with his young family.

A special physician. Melchior Adam Weikard was appointed 1764 as the "Physikus" of the department Brueckenau. Thus he became a bath physician of the government-run health resort. He was born as a son of a landlord in Roemershag, a district of Brueckenau.
